Absolute cowboys

Booked a move that was only 3 miles away so should be a simple task! Not for these clowns. The van was too small and they had to do 2 trips, then multiple items were damaged in transit and whilst the crew dismantled the furniture. I was assured I would be reimbursed for the damages but after weeks of phone calls and false promises I have not received any payments. These are complete cowboys and should be avoided if you value your property.

Stay Away from Tiger Removals: A Waste of Time and Money

If you are planning to book with Tiger Removals, consider the following points:

* Time: They value their time but not yours.

* Service: Don’t expect good service from them.

* Quality: They don’t care about your products and items.

* Trust: They won’t deliver what they promise.

* Money: It’s a waste of money.

* Satisfaction: Not worth it.

Detailed Review

Time: They value their time and not yours. My booking was scheduled for 10:00 AM, but they kept delaying. Initially, they said they would come by 11:00 AM, then 1:05 PM, and finally arrived at 2:00 PM.

Service & Quality: The service was terrible. They handled everything carelessly, throwing boxes from the first floor to the ground and sliding furniture. They broke my chest of drawers and promised to fix it but left everything as it was, claiming they couldn’t work more because it was Saturday evening. When I complained to Chris, he lied, saying I had asked them to skip the repair. Items were not placed in designated locations, and the crew was rude.

Trust: Don’t trust them. I requested a 5-ton Luton van, but they sent a 3.5-ton van. They promised to dismantle the sofa, but the person who came said it wasn’t communicated and left it. I had to dismantle and transfer it myself. When I informed Chris, he twisted my words and blackmailed me, saying he would move the sofa only if I agreed not to leave a review online.

Money: They only care about their money and time, not yours. They didn’t offer any compensation for the broken chest of drawers or anything else.

Unrealistic Stories:

* They claimed I agreed to skip the broken chest of drawers. Why would I do that?

* They sent a small vehicle and blamed it on an operational mistake.

* The crew was not skilled in sofa removal, which was my main request.

* They claimed to have suspended the crew for not meeting expectations, which I find hard to believe.

Conclusion

Do not book with Tiger Removals. They are untrustworthy, provide poor service, and are a waste of time and money.

Great service from start to finish. Quote was reasonable and communication before the day excellent. The Team, Harry, Lee and Scot were absolutely outstanding, punctual, good humoured and worked like trojans. No idea how they do this day after day! These guys made our move so much easier than we expected. If your reading this guys, thanks again. Highly recommend Tigers!.

Disgusting

Finding out they are not registered! £1,500 to have to leave most of my stuff behind! Tried to contact them but now they have the money they don't answer the phone. I'm trying to make an official complaint but there's nothing I can do if they aren't registered. I now have to buy a dining table and chairs, step ladders, vacuum cleaner. One of the men complained there was sets of writing on the boxes. They were the boxes that they provided and I had to scribble out what was on before. Forced to rate as 1 star, personally I would give them minus 5.

AVOID !!

Avoid! They promise you the lot then don't deliver. I've never in my whole life met a company that treats its customers with NO regard. They are rude, unprofessional cowboys.

1. Promised to provide packaging, protective coverings and blankets for bit delicate items - DID NOT DELIVER.

2. Didn't arrive at 0730 but was almost 10:00 and then complained throughout that they don't get paid enough for the hours they were putting in - im a customer and didn't expect to hear this.

3. Two small vans arrived when i had previously said that we have moved in articulated lorry before. So a van full of items didn't get loaded.

4. They refused to move until full payment was made and threatened to unload or take items back to depot for charges to be made in storage. ( I had no issue about paying, but wanted ALL my items loaded).

5. ALL my furniture was either marked, scratched broken and damaged!!

6. Kicked a wall down to get removals van in the drive.

Moving is very stressful experience and they added to a very emotional and distressing experience. Having moved every 2-4 years this company is by far the WORSE!!

Avoid

I wouldn’t have these cowboys move my worst enemy, if there are any issues at all you’re either made to feel like you’re the problem and an inconvenience or you get shouted at by the misogynistic owner. I had 3 quotes for our removal, Tiger were best price although when Chris came round he barely looked anywhere, gave it the big I am and left. They came highly recommended by one of my friends so I took them on, they also got business from the person buying my house because I gave them their details, nice job for them! Chris told me he’d drop some boxes off for me, don’t bother. Took them to my buyers and told me to pick them up. Then when the guys turned up they had no wardrobe boxes, James told us that was because we didn’t order wardrobe boxes and we’d have to source them ourselves, when I pulled out my invoice and we had they made us feel like a total inconvenience, having to drop them off later that day. Can’t fault the guys who moved us, they were great but I later found out from Chris that they slagged us off the whole day. I don’t believe they did but that’s what Cretin Chris shouted at me down the phone. They told us they couldn’t bring our expensive patio table with them in the van because they didn’t have the tools to move it. Said they’d drop it off later that day, never came. I chased it and was given another day for drop off, never came. This back and forth went on for over two weeks until finally 4 blokes turned up at my new door with my daughter the only one in. She opened the door and they made her feel very uncomfortable with their remarks, laughing at her and amongst themselves, disgusting behaviour towards a 17 year old girl. Then the service got really interesting. My patio table was left in bits on the back. I called Cretin and he laid into me, telling me anyone with half a brain could put it back together, that I was disgusting for asking for their complaints process and that I should go back to hoovering….my table still lays in bits on the floor because this half a brain can’t find the screws for it, the 4 blokes between them couldn’t even drop them off with the table. This company is a joke, please don’t hire them, you’ll regret it unless you enjoy being shouted at by a small man who thinks he can intimidate women. Cowboys isn’t a strong enough C word for this business.

Avoid!!

Over-promised and under-delivered. Would not recommend.

We paid a deposit and from the very start things were unreliable. Boxes were promised on two separate occasions and never turned up. When I raised concerns about how I could trust them to arrive on moving day, I was reassured repeatedly that removals are different, teams are allocated separately, and everything would be fine.

Moving day itself was incredibly stressful. ETA was 9-9:30am. We received multiple texts saying “on the way” and “10 minutes away.” Half an hour passed — no arrival. More messages followed saying it wouldn’t be long. Eventually I received a call that came across as arrogant and dismissive. I was told we were stressing, there was no apology, and that arrival times are “just estimates.” I was also told, “Anyway, you haven’t paid,” despite the £100 deposit already being paid (which they had incorrectly listed as £50 on the invoice — I had to send proof). I made it clear the balance would be paid once the team actually arrived.

I was then sent a tracker showing the van was probably 50 minutes away, despite being told “10 minutes.” By this point it was 10:30am and I was in tears, ringing other removal companies on completion day.

We were originally quoted two vans, then reassured one would be enough. We were told the van was “big enough,” that we had “good lads,” and that I needed to “calm down.”

They finally arrived at 11:15am.

To be clear: the lads themselves were lovely — polite, helpful, and hardworking. When I asked why they were late, they explained they had been made to unload another van before they were allowed to leave.

However, this company is supposed to remove stress — not add to it, its the first time we have used a removal firm to help and make it easy! My husband, his father and I had to help load and unload to avoid the job running into the night. We exchanged at 12pm, buyers were waiting for keys, and time was critical.

Despite being told one load would be enough, it wasn’t. The garage hadn’t been touched, garden items were left, and there were still bits in the house. A second full trip was needed. The team finished at 6:15pm — and that’s only because we helped. Otherwise this would have gone on until very late. Our buyers were given their keys at 6.30pm!! Thankfully my husbands mum had cleaned it throughout the day ready for handover!

The lads also weren’t properly equipped — no trolleys, no lighting once it got dark. They were incredibly grateful for our help, which says a lot about how stretched and unsupported they seemed. They were great lads — polite, hardworking, and likely underpaid and pulled from pillar to post.

Unfortunately, dealing with James was the opposite experience. Rude, arrogant, dismissive, and never once took responsibility when things were clearly going wrong.

Good removal men. Poor management. Appalling customer service.

I don’t think I’ve ever dealt with someone so rude when they were so clearly at fault.

Avoid like the plague

Professional and reliable

If I could give Tigers Removals ten stars I would.

The whole process was easy, efficient and a great price.

Chris initially rang me, arranged to come to my house and view what I needed to move. There was a lot of chaos but he didn't find it an issue at all. He gave me the quote straight away and I was happy with it.

James liaised with me via email and was very helpful.

Moving day!

Wow, Stephen and Mike arrived at 8:30 am and they never stopped. They were so friendly, highly efficient and went above and beyond. I have a large, solid oak wardrobe that due to the layout of my house was impossible to get out. They dismantled it, along with my bed and sofa.

Watching them fit everything on the 7.5 ton truck was like watching masters at jigsaw.

At the other end, 100 mile distance, they unloaded, put all my furniture back together in the rooms I wanted.

Not once did they complain or stop smiling.

Those guys worked their socks off.

Nothing was damaged at all as they were so professional.

I cannot recommend this company enough.

Long-distance move from West Yorkshire to Staffordshire

Worst experience moving ever

Arrived on the day was told it should

Have been a 3 man job, there were two guys Ian and Wayne. Was booked in on a 5.5t van everything just about fitted. They went ahead and started unpacking. Seemed really nice to your face at least. They did help pack and cover our sofas and tvs however one tv got damaged in the move. The packers lied to the company saying we broke it and we were acting shifty before the move even though they saw the tv on as my son was watching when they arrived. We only noticed the damage around two hours after they left as boxes were packed in front of it and they had told

The office they checked before leaving which was impossible. Ian was great and helped take a second bed upstairs so can’t fault him. When I challenged the office about the damage they advised what Wayne had said and after putting up an original review only then got contacted and said an insurance form would be sent out. I was asked to take the review down. We did and after several chases to the office nothing has come back 2 weeks later so putting up another review. Got an email 20 minutes later after telling them a review was going back up and told not to threaten them. If you HAVE to use them book a larger van or check every single item that’s fragile because you won’t get your moneys worth.

Long-distance move from Bradford, Yorkshire to Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Stress free and efficient house move.

From the first contact with Tiger I was impressed by their service. A home visit to assess my requirements was organised quickly and followed up by delivery of the boxes I needed, on a use or return basis. On the day of the move, the guys arrived on time and safely and efficiently transferred the many boxes and furniture into the van. At the other end, the guys placed everything exactly where I wanted it and also moved items when it was necessary. There really was no stress and the guys were so helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to use Tiger removals again.

Removal and Storage.

We moved 5 miles but had to keep our goods in storage for 4 months. The whole experience was horrendous. There were not enough men to pack the goods initially and they had to leave some of my contents at my old address. A set of leaded lights were left and taken by the new owners. When my goods were unpacked 4 months later again insufficient men were employed so there was no time to put up any beds which was in the contract When we started to unpack we found many things broken. We had some items valued and the total damage was approx £1000. Even though I was told that the firm were insured for breakages up to £20,000, we were very rudely dismissed by Chris. PLEASE IF YOU VALUE YOUR GOODS DO NOT HAVE THIS FIRM.

Great Removal Team, Shame about the Management.

I really can't fault the removal team who were excellent and accommodated everything needed from them. I also thank the company for moving the date twice due to issues with the move..however..I have to give them 3 stars based on their office..I was quoted for a removal with a window taken out in order to remove my sofa..I was told on the day they were now not able to do this, causing me to have to irreparably damage my sofa to remove it. I queried the office about this who continually told me that I was lucky to get the price I did, they wouldn't knock any money off and it was basically tough luck..I now have to fork out for sofa repairs because they gave me a false quote for a removal which included services they willingly knew they could not carry out.

Again, I cannot fault the work ethic of the team who carried out the removal..but I would not use them again based on my experience with management who simply wanted the dough no matter the cost..

Avoid this company.

Avoid this company. I had a removal booked and they didn't show up. Told me that a van had broken down, but there were supposed to be 2 vans coming. No apology. Very rude. The van was 2 hours away when I called and they were late, if it had broken down then it means they just didn't bother to tell me they weren't coming. Clearly had too many jobs on. Absolutely disgusting that they can do this to people on the day they move house.

Avoid at All Costs.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Tigers subcontracted my house removal job to another firm who were cowboys and let me down on the removal day with a shoddy van that broke down on arrival and two inexperienced lads who didn't know what to do about it. Moving is stressful enough without having to try to find another removal company on the day we were meant to be moving! Despite saying they had no connection to the subcontractor Tigers won't return the deposit I paid to them and haven't even offered an apology for all the inconvenience caused.

Very late.

The company didn't turn up until 3pm on the day of the move, altho the guys on the ground were very good, the management were unapologetic and thier only comment was that they wouldn't let us down, it was a bit late in the day for that, The finally completed the move at 10pm at night, luckily it was less than 2 miles for the move. I would rather hire a van and do it myself than deal with this kind of incompetence.

Cowboys r us - avoid.

Unfortunately google only allows me to leave 1 star and not 0 stars. Booked this company to move out of a 3 bed semi and with the expressed agreement we had to have the house clear for 1pm. They only sent 1 van and 2 men when I had booked 2 vans and 4 men. The staff sent were very rude when I asked them about this and threatened to walk away. When I phoned the office to complain and ask where my 2nd van was the chap was very rude and swore at me, his name was Chris. After much arguing and after me requesting half my money back he begrudgingly sent another van. The staff were then rude to the buyers of my house as we were not clear in time. After the move I noticed damage to my wardrobes and black stains on the mattresses. and my late mums wedding jewelry was missing I have phoned the office 3 times to ask for a claim form and the owner is aggressive and rude. The theft is now in the matter of the police. I only wish I had done my research on this company, this isn't the first time they have been rude, broke things or items have disappeared. Be every careful when looking at tigers removals check their feedback on here and on facebook. AVOID.

Service cost: £450

Excellent removals, very poor admin.

Pros
- Efficient removal of my items into storage.
- Reasonable removal and storage rates.
- Friendly crew on both moving out and moving back in 2 weeks later who took care with my items.
- Flexible dates because my house contracts were delayed a couple of times.
- Chris in the office was prompt with replying to emails.

Cons
- Turned up an hour late the morning of moving out of my home adding stress to an already stressful situation. Not acceptable considering their depot is a 5 minute drive away
- Turned up an hour late the morning of moving into my address with no pre-call to warn me of that.
- My storage container was being shared with someone else's items. If I'm paying £30 a week for storage, I expect my items to be the only ones in storage. This is how mix-ups occur. When I spotted the other individual's items, I was told "don't worry, its just rubbish". Comforting.
- Paid a premium for a large lorry. They turned up in a small Luton van and still expected me to pay the premium because they would have to undertake two trips to move me out. I was told at no point that I would be getting a smaller vehicle. The excuse "as you're local, we thought you wouldn't mind".
- Poor communication from other members of the team - multiple phone calls or texts required to get answers to anything.
- Took my money nice and quickly, but it took 3 days for a receipt of my deposit or any confirmation whatsoever.
- No apologies at any point during the process. No sorry about turning up late, no apologies for the lack of larger vehicle or the fact they decided to shove another person's items in with mine.

As Tigers is primarily a removal company, I can’t give them any less than 3 stars as that part of the service was fantastic, but the administrative side of the business was very poor indeed.

Service cost: £250

Appalling removal service DO NOT USE.

Arrived late to the job (2hrs) with no apology. Staff were nice while completing job but over worked and not happy with management which was unsettling. On transition many jobs which were part of the service not completed and therefore overpaid for the job they were to complete. More than a dozen items broken, items scuffed and no apology. On liaising with them they were non cooperative and refused to be helpful. I recommend not to use this service due to the incompetency and unable to apologise for poor service.

Read the reviews and do not use this company. Said that the van had broken down when we phoned to ask why they were late. did not arrive at all on the day and promised a van at 8am the next day, they arrived at 10am saying that they overslept. Guys on the van were faultless and really good, the fault lies with the management. TERRIBLE COMPANY, they keep doing this to people and it`s about time they were stopped, I am contacting Trading Standards about them. I should add that they were informed that my sister who they were moving is a vunerable person and 80 years old. Simply disgusted with them.

Fantastic Removal Man, below average Office staff.

The owner Chris was very pleasant and helpful when booking the firm and paying the deposit.
Steve who drove the removal van was absolutely amazing, simply the best person you could wish to have with you. He was upbeat, thoroughly engaging and worked his butt off (so to speak).
On the long trip down however, I had to contact the office due to the funds for our sale not having materialised before we reached our destination and the knock on effect of not being able to settle our bill that exact day. Obviously, extremely stressful for many different reasons! However, the owner's son James, simply put should not be allowed contact with the public. He has no people skills whatsoever, is self opinionated and a thoroughly unpleasant boy, who attempted to bully me repeatedly into paying that same day, despite on several occasions outlining why I could not until the following day.
I am certain that his father is aware of this constant arrogant behaviour and must be comfortable with it.
I on the other hand am not.
To conclude, I sincerely hope that Steve would set up his own Company, which I am sure would be a statement to his professionalism and out and out great personality and it would thrive!

Did not fulfill their promise.

Very disappointing experience with this company with a long distance removal. Although things started well and my things were collected on time at 8AM as agreed with 2 vans things went wrong the next day when only half of the stuff was delivered in only one van. A promise from the driver that the rest would definitely follow the next day was broken and I was virtually accused of inventing his promise when I spoke to the office. The rest of my stuff did eventually arrive - 2 days late but with only one man - I therefore had to help the removal man lift stuff (including a piano) off the van and into my house. I',m 60 and thankfully fit but if I had been 10 years older or unfit there would have been no way the single man could have unloaded the van! I have requested compensation from the company but have so far been ignored.

Shocked and appalled!

James from Tigers Removals has just been to my house to give me a quote. He seemed pleasant enough at first *cheeky chappie* and all that.

We bartered a bit on the quote (I'd had a cheaper one already), and when my partner saidwe should think about it, and I said is let him know before the end of the day- he took umbridge and became very rude saying we'd messed him around and he didn't want the job anyway! I was left upset and speechless! DO NOT USE! I feel we've had a very narrow escape..
